NW Natural Sherwood Testing Building
New 3,410 SF metal building that contains a drive-in sandblasting booth powered by a dedicated 50hp air compressor. The project also includes a pipe testing curtain enclosure built to resist and contain blast loading from charged pipe-assemblies that gas company builds onsite. The roof on this booth retracts so the pipes can be driven in on trucks, off-loaded with the 5-ton overhead bridge crane then enclosed for testing. This application has never been built before but will be the new industry standard for gas utilities pressuring testing pipe assemblies safely.
